"Over Here" - The Single

“Over Here” The first single from Maleke O'Ney's provocative Album "Confessions of a Pentecostal Girl" is fueled by Southern living, family and the funk. An account of her  childhood experiences, spending weekends at her Grandmother’s house,  Maleke O’Ney describes growing up in a family who supported and watched  out for one another above all else. The music was loud, the smoke was  thick and the characters were boisterous and colorful. The lifestyle was  a stark difference between home and her Grandmother‘s house. “Over Here” depicts a glimpse into the real world that religion was attempting to protect her from.
